Dr. Meghan Shirley
Dr. Meghan Shirley grew up in the Pittsburgh area and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science from The University of Pittsburgh. She then went on to earn a Doctorate in Optometry cum laude at Illinois College of Optometry, where she was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. During her final year of school, Dr. Shirley trained under nationally renowned eye doctors at locations in Central Florida and Rhode Island.
Dr. Shirley is thrilled to join her husband, Dr. Matthew Shirley, in providing comprehensive eye care services to the residents of Indiana and surrounding communities. She has extensive training in disease management such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, dry eye syndrome, diabetic eye care and many others. Dr. Shirley also has in-depth training with LASIK consultation, cataract co-management, as well as, expertise in fitting specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Shirley serves her profession as a member of the American Optometric Society, The Pennsylvania Optometric Society and the Western Optometric Society. Dr. Shirley supports various local charities and regularly attends continuing medical and optometric educational conferences throughout the year so she can provide patients with state-of-the art eye care.
In her free time, Dr. Shirley enjoys bike riding, spending time with family and friends and cheering on her favorite Pittsburgh sports teams. She values the importance of getting to know each of her patients on a personal level and accommodating all of their visual needs.
