Dr. Cree grew up in nearby Altoona, PA. She attended the University of Pittsburgh in Greensburg for two years and ran cross country during her time there. Dr. Cree completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Pittsburgh main campus and upon graduation, enrolled in the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. There, she earned her Doctorate in Optometry.
While a student at PCO, Dr. Cree volunteered with the New Jersey Special Olympics to perform pediatric eye exams and the Philadelphia Public School System to conduct vision school screenings. She was also active in the Private Practice and Contact Lens clubs. Following the didactic portion of her schooling, Dr. Cree pursued optometric rotations with accomplished eye doctors in Pennsylvania, Florida and Virginia. Her five clinical externships focused on diagnostic and therapeutic parameters of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease and others, specialized contact lens fittings, diverse modalities for dry eye management and pre/post-operative care for patients undergoing ocular surgical procedures.
Dr. Cree joins Shirley Eye Care as a Primary Care Optometrist. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Pennsylvania Optometric Association and the Virginia Optometric Association. Dr. Cree is committed to comprehensive, personalized patient care and is looking forward to building lasting relationships in the community. She has a special interest in helping those with Dry Eye Disease and strategizing the optimal plan for their comfort.
When not in the office, Dr. Cree is an outdoor enthusiast. She enjoys hiking, kayaking and exploring with her dog, Willow. She is an avid reader and loves spending free time with her family and friends.
